Privacy Policy
Effective: October 16, 2026
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains what data provenai.dev collects about you, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
One clarification up front: the traffic figures on this site describe the AI tools we index, not our visitors. We estimate their traffic from third-party analytics providers; we do not measure you.
2. What we collect
- Account details: your email address, and a name if you provide one. If you sign in with Google, we also receive the basic profile Google shares, such as your name and avatar.
- Payment details: handled by our payment provider, Creem. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the subscription it relates to; we never see your full card number.
- Messages you send us: the content of support emails you write to us.
- Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and when, collected through cookies and the analytics tools listed below.
3. Why we use it
- to create and run your account, and to sign you in
- to process payments and manage your subscription
- to keep the service secure and prevent abuse
- to reply to your questions and requests
- to meet our legal and tax obligations
4. Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers, and share only what each one needs:
- Creem — payment processing and subscription billing
- Resend — sending transactional email such as sign-in and receipt messages
- Our hosting provider — running the site and storing the database
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity — anonymous usage statistics about how the site is used
- Google Fonts — loading the typefaces used on our pages
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
5. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies — to keep you signed in, to remember your display preference, and for the analytics described above. The Cookie Policy lists them and explains how to block them.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account exists, and delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period after you close it. Payment and invoice records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, export it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. If you are in the EEA or the UK, these rights come from the GDPR; if you are a California resident, the CCPA also gives you the right to know and to delete, and the right not to be discriminated against for asking. We do not sell personal data.
Email hello@provenai.dev and we will respond within the timeframe the law requires.
8. Transfers, children, changes and contact
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
The service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If we make a significant change to this policy we will post it here and update the date above. Questions: hello@provenai.dev.
